Exploring Our Solar System and Beyond

Visitors to the Treworgy Planetarium explore the mysteries of our galaxy through an immersive dual-screen interactive. The visitor can simply tap a planet on the control screen and watch a beautifully rendered fly-through of our solar system on the connected Ultra HD 4K wall-mounted display. Upon arrival at the destination, the visitor learns more about the planet or phenomenon through engaging 3D models and sequential animated infographics.

Implementation

I developed the user experience of how a visitor would use a secondary display to navigate the solar system on the large display and mapped out the interaction flow from beginning to end. Based on content provided by Mystic Seaport, I designed a user interface inspired by science fiction space exploration and worked closely with our in-house 3D modelers and motion graphics artists to create dynamic fly-throughs and infographic styles.
