Take the Lead and Curate Your Own Exhibit

Guests of the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art become curators of their own exhibits in experience inspired by Samuel F. B. Morse’s painting Gallery of the Louvre. Visitors are challenged to choose a theme, wall color, and works of art from Crystal Bridges’ collection to create their virtual gallery. Visitors can then share their galleries on Tumblr or via email. The application is designed to be flexible; the available artworks may change over time allowing returning visitors to have a different experience and create brand new galleries.

The user experience for the application needed to be flexible and allow for a level of personal customization while also also remaining streamlined enough to fit a tight turnaround. We also worked to implement as many pieces of artwork as possible from the Crystal Bridges collection.
